A 32-year-old French nun has been murdered in Chad. She was also a doctor directing an AIDS prevention programme, and was doing her rounds in the capital. She was killed on 15 January: the identity and motive of the murderer are not known.
Sr Christine d'Hérouville of the Xaverian order had been in Chad since October. She was buried on 21 January in Kabalaye, in N'Djamena where she was killed.
